Billie Sue Parks

Billie Sue Parks, age 50, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on January 14, 1970 in Cambridge, Maryland to the late Suzanne Bloodsworth and Wayne D. Windsor.

Billie Sue was a loving and dedicated mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her roles as Nana and Aunt Bea. Billie had a vivacious personality and was always making everyone around her laugh. She was truly the life of the party. She was known for being a jokester and would always bust out in random tunes. She had a song for everything and had the most beautiful singing voice there ever was. To know her was to love her and she never met a stranger anywhere she went. She would light up a room just by walking in it. She was fondly known as the favorite waitress to so many at Rusticana Pizza in Easton. She knew all of her customers by name and always remembered exactly what they would order.

Billie Sue loved to cook and was especially good at cake decorating. She loved making wedding and birthday cakes for her loved ones. One of her favorite places to be was outside enjoying the sunshine in her hammock with her dogs never far away. She also loved beach days spent in Assateague with her daughter and granddaughters. The annual OBX trip and OC weekend getaways with her girl pack will never be the same without her.

Despite her long, treacherous battle with cancer you never once heard her complain. No matter what she was going through or how hard she was truly struggling she would never let you know. In true Bea fashion, she pushed through with a giant smile on her face and never once lost her spark. She made a huge mark on this world and touched the lives of so many people.

Billie Sue is survived by her two children Kristin and Kevin Parks; fur babies Meeko, Benny, and Cali; three grandchildren Leilah Parks, Emma and Connor Travis; her father Wayne D. Windsor (Mary Ann), two sisters Valerie Phillips (Rusty) and Jennifer Windsor-Ruark (Luther); a brother Mike Windsor (Mary), her grandmother Frances Bloodsworth, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

She was preceded in death by her mother, maternal grandfather William Bloodsworth, paternal grandparents George and Viola Windsor and a special little boy who was very dear to her heart, Christopher Bradley.
