Daniel Billy Presley, Sr., loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather went home with his Lord and Savior Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge. He had resided there since January of 2014. He was 78.
Born in North Carolina on April 26, 1936, he was the son of his loving parents, the late Lester and Florence Green Punch. They moved when he was just a young boy to Parksley, Virginia. At the age of 14, he and his family relocated to Dorchester County. He and several family members worked on a logging team for Spicer Lumber Co.
Bill owned and operated the Gulf Station, later to be renamed Phillips 66 Station. He was employed for several years at Delmarva Bandage before retiring and opening the Presley Tire Shop of Cambridge with his youngest son in October of 1987.
He married the late Sandra Norma Hubbard and through that union they were blessed with three wonderful sons.
In 1976 he married the late Glenda Travers and together they loved and devoted their lives to their 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Together they spent a lot of time boating, crabbing and fishing until the time of her passing in 2008.
Preceding Bill in death besides his parents and wives are several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memories his three sons Bill Jr. (Tammie), Marty (Toni) and Eric (Kim); step daughters Kim (Steve), Carolyn (Mitch) and Lisa (Andy); grandchildren BJ (Crystal), Brian (Kim), Stephanie (Tim), Candice (Greg), Alison (Michael), Erica, Nick, Ashley (Steven), Annie, Max, Noah, Bridget (Eric), Brittney (DJ) and Brooke; great-grandchildren Braden, Lucas, Jaxson, Rebecca , Tyler, Madeline, Isabelle, Roslyn, Dean, Liam, Simon, Adalyn, Mason, Mackenzie, Mason, Logan and Karson; along with his much loved and trusted dog Macy, that was more than just a pet to him.
At the request of the family services will be private.
