Evelyn Eberspacher

Evelyn “Ann” Spicer Eberspacher passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, Maryland. She was 72.
She was born on October 21, 1940 in Cambridge, Dorchester County, Maryland, daughter of the late Levin Theophilus Spicer and Ethel Robinson Spicer.
She graduated from South Dorchester High School, and attended Salisbury State College before marrying William H. Eberspacher on November 10, 1962, who then preceded her in death on 31 January, 2010. She spent much of her life with her family on their farm, the “Brick House” Farm in Drawbridge, Dorchester County, Maryland. She was a member of several churches in the area; Grace Baptist Church in Hurlock for over 17 years and Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cambridge for over 10 years.
Ann, as she was known to many, spent countless hours ministering through her knitting for many charities, both private and public. She enjoyed knitting things such as baby blankets for family and friends, helmet cushions for military members, and afghans for charities. She wrote to prisoners and supported missionaries by uplifting them with her spirit and faith in her Lord.
She is survived by a son, Curtis Eberspacher and his wife Patricia “Trish” of Cornelius, NC; two grandchildren; Jeannine A. Eberspacher and Joseph M. “Joey” Eberspacher; a great-grandson Elijah Eberspacher; a great-granddaughter Dahlia Eberspacher, and two sisters, Doris Dove of Salisbury, MD, and Ruth Gray of Cambridge, MD.
Services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 2:00 at the Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A. on High Street in Cambridge, Maryland, with The Rev. Delmer Willey and the Rev. Sharon Prahl officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. The family would like to receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Mitchell, Lee Gray, Mark Eberspacher, Doug Eberspacher, Teddy Eberspacher, Emerson (Rusty) Eberspacher & Chem Albites, accompanied by honorary pallbearer Louis Fehsenfeld.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Maryland Chapter, 1850 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093-5122. Share memories with the family at www.newcombcollins.com
