Herbert Hughes Sr

Herbert (Hub) McGlaughlin Hughes Sr., 84 of East New Market, Md, passed away March 24, 2012 at Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge.

Hub was a member of the Moose Lodge 1211 and the Maryland Waterman’s Association. Hub enjoyed going to the flea market on the weekend and taking his grandsons. He also enjoyed watching country and gospel music shows on TV with his wife Alice, but what Hub enjoyed most was to work.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, a son, Herbert Hughes Jr. and his wife Kathy of Bel Air; two daughters, Darlene Ausmussen and her husband Mickey of East New Market; Debbie Lewis and her husband Buddy of Hurlock; a sister Irene Gootee of Golden Hill, and brother Joseph Hughes of Cambridge; four grandsons, Brian Hughes, David Hughes, Leon Lewis Jr. and Levin Lewis Sr.; great grandsons Levy Lewis Jr. and Luke Brian Hughes.
