Mary Carolyn Willey, age 75, of Cambridge, MD, died Saturday night, June 4, 2011 at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on April 20, 1936 in Madison, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Richard Insley and Mary Emily Fitzhugh Insley.

Ms. Willey was a member of the Cambridge Wesleyan Church.

Ms. Willey worked as a nurse’s aid and unit clerk at Dorchester General Hospital for over thirty eight years.

Ms. Willey was very proud of her family and enjoyed her career of helping people.

Surviving is a daughter Pam Gray of Cambridge; a son Doug Willey and his wife Holly of Stafford, VA; four grandchildren Joseph Gray, Jesica Lord, Devyn Willey and Mackenzie Ellington; two sisters Catherine Parker and Brenda Parks and her husband Robert; a brother Joseph Richard Insley, Jr.; numerous remaining family members and friends.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a sister Joan Lewis and brother-in-law Allen Parker, Jr.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, June 9th at the funeral home where the family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Joe Harmon, Pastor of Cambridge Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow at Old Trinity Church Cemetery, Church Creek.

In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made in Ms. Willey’s memory to Dorchester County Animal Control, 829 Fieldcrest Rd., Cambridge, MD 21613.
