Margaret “Peggy” Javage, age 69, of Cambridge passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on August 18, 1939 in Manhattan, New York, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Joseph Curtin and Margaret Ware Curtin.

Peggy served 2 years in the US Army during the 1950’s. She was a medical secretary for a number of years. She loved arts & crafts and chocolate. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, aunt and a good friend to many and will be remembered for her great sense of humor, laughter and love of family.

On March 24, 1962 she married Joseph Javage, Jr. He passed away on May 23, 2002.

She lived in Bladensburg for many years before moving to Cambridge in 2006.

Surviving is her daughter Julie Bradley and her husband Jay; a granddaughter Rebecca Bradley; sisters-in-law Kum Cha Curtin and Christa Otto; nephews and nieces Robert Forsell Jr. (My), Claire Forsell-Weiss (Chris), Frank Curtin, Patrick Curtin (Lynn), Michael Curtin, Sr.(Laura), Eric Curtin (Lee Ann) and Joseph Curtin (Susan), Maureen Fromfield (Fred) and Maury Grimes (Derek); great-nephews and great-nieces David Curtin, Brian Curtin, Michael Curtin Jr. (Kristin), Nicole Curtin, Alyssa Curtin, Daniel Curtin, Crystal Curtin, Heidi Curtin, Amy Curtin, Kaelin Curtin, Kyle Curtin, Katie Fromfield & Kevin Fromfield, Skye Grimes and Ben Forsell; great-great-nephews and great-great- nieces Amelia Curtin, Michael Curtin III and Avery Curtin; and many other relatives too numerous to list in New York and New Jersey.

Also left to mourn her loss are close friends Shannon Balcomb, Linda Jones, Mike Pendry (Ann), Jim Schick (Pat), Lynn Dreher, Sandra Polansky and her lovable but naughty dogs, Rambo and Rocky.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were brothers Charles Curtin and Joseph Curtin; and beloved dog Scooter.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, 1515 Glasgow Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. There will be no viewing.
