Mary Hayward

Mary Louella Hayward, 80, of Cambridge passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at UMSMC at Dorchester with her grandsons at her side.
She was born January 5, 1933 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Martha Louella Phillips and Norman Elsworth Hubbard. She attended local schools in the area. On December 7, 1950 she married William Fredrick Hayward. They enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage before his passing October 26, 2000.
Mary was a homemaker for most of her life. Family was everything to her. She raised two daughters and later became a mother to her grandsons John and Scott after an accident claimed the life of their mother at an early age. Although she experienced the death of her husband and both of her daughters she remained faithful to her Lord .
She had worked at Airpax Electronics for a number of years and later was the Director of Home Helpers for over 10 years.
Surviving are grandsons John A. Holotik and wife Megan, Scott S. Holotik and wife Cysil Pernito of Cambridge, Maryland and Tony Meredith of Cape Coral, Florida; granddaughters Shannon Anderson and husband Norman of Cape Coral, Florida, Danie Herrin and husband John of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a brother Danny Hubbard of East New Market, Maryland along with ten great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her daughters Katherine Lee Holotik and Amy Lynn Meredith.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, July 29, 2013 beginning 1 p.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Jack Diehl.
Donations in memory of Mary can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge MD 21613.
