Paul Baiers, Sr
Paul F. Baiers, Sr., age 77, died on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, Maryland after a courageous battle with heart disease.
Mr. Baiers was born September 10, 1939 in Washington, DC to the late Doris and Frank Baiers of Hillcrest Heights, MD and was the oldest of three brothers.
Married in 1965, Mr. Baiers worked for 33 years and retired from the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority. He had a passion for sports and was an avid Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals and Washington Capitals fan. When he wasn’t watching sports he enjoyed sitting in his recliner watching old classic movies-but everything came second to his love and passion for his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife Patricia of 52 years, brothers Robert and Phillip Baiers, daughter Pamela and husband Vance Hicks, daughter Paula Baiers, son Paul, Jr. and former wife Sharon Baiers, son Patrick and wife Christine Baiers; grandchildren Nichole, Taylor and Zackary Hicks, Amber, Ashley and Patrick Baiers, Jr., Donovan Dyson, Martin Rivet and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends.
The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mr. Baiers name to Compass Regional Hospice, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617.
A memorial service will be announced in the near future.

To my extended family, Im so sorry to hear of Daddy's passing. I dont have a single memory of my teen years that doesnt have Daddy in it. I will forever treasure the memory of Dancing the Father Daughter Dance with Daddy at my wedding. Him being all decked out looking like Rhett Buttler in the flesh! Or how about super bowl 17 when the Skins went to super bowl and we all went out to see them off. I can go on forever. Or when Mom found out she was pregnant with Patrick! Fun times with Daddy for sure. My prayers and heart are with all of you. I love you all so very much. Love, Tina
