Ruth Ann Elizabeth Bradshaw , 79 of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Golden Hill, Md. on March 2, 1935 the daughter of Carl Edward and Mary Magdaline Moore Bradshaw.
Ruth Ann graduated from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1953. On Aug 5, 1957 she married Dewitt Clinton Kinnamon III. He was born on Nov 4, 1931 and died on May 25, 1986. From this marriage she had a son Don Clinton Kinnamon, Sr (Deborah) Cambridge, Md. and a daughter Lisa Ann Paredes (Michael) Delmar, Md.; Grandchildren Christa Dawn Peek (Elmo) Parsonsburg, Md., Don Clinton Kinnamon, Jr. (Charity) Cambridge, Md., Olivia Noel Paredes & Rachel Alexandra Paredes, Delmar, Md.; Great Grandchildren Hunter Thomas Kinnamon, Cambridge, Md., Raine Elizabeth Peek and Miranda Lynn Peek, Parsonsburg, Md.
She married William Randall Bradshaw, Sr. on Jun 17, 1989,of whom she is survived; Step-sons William R. Bradshaw, II (Amy) Laurel, Del., MSgt Ret Noble F. Bradshaw (Mary Ellen) Gulf Breeze, Fla.; Step Grandchildren Candi Price, Laurel, Del., Matthew Bradshaw, Crestview, Fla., Jacklyn Bores (Shane), Crestview, Fla., Brandon Bradshaw, Laurel, De.; Step Great-Grandaughter Annika Price, Laurel, De.; Mother-In-Law; Mildred M. Bradshaw, Cambridge, Md.; Brother In-Law; Roy L. Bradshaw (Faye), Cambridge, Md.; Sister-In-Law Priscilla McGlaughlin, Fishing Creek, Md.
Ruth Ann worked at Herbert Hearn Hardware, Dorchester Memorial Hospital in administration; Educational Assistant at East Cambridge Elementary School, St. Clair Elementary School and Maple Elementary School,. She retired from the Dorchester Board of Education in 2000. She loved children and even during her eight years with dementia, when she saw a child, she had to talk to them.
Ruth Ann was a very pleasant Lady who enjoyd her family, travel, collecting dolls and shopping. She has been a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church since Feb 28, 1960 and was an active member of the Gleaners Bible Class.
She was predeceased by a sister Shirley Bradshaw; one grand child, Jacob Langford; her parents and 1st Husband, one step-son Lawson B; Bradshaw, one brother-in-law; Robert F. Bradshaw and one step-Great Granddaughter Erica Price. She also leaves her wonderful care givers from Amedisys’ Nurse Chris and HHS Haley, her neighbors Wendy Collins and Maritza Sanchez.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 205 Maryland Ave., Cambridge, Md. Officiating the service will be Rev. S. Jones and Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phil McKelvey, Ron Schaake, Vaughn Holland, Del Kailianu, Don C. Kinnamon, Jr. and Elmo Peek. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Peters and Robert Cannon.
Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth Ann can be made to a charity of your choice or the Memorial Fund, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 205 Maryland Ave., Cambridge, Md. 21613.
