SYLVIA T. LEWIS

Sylvia T. Lewis, age 82, of Fishing Creek, MD, died Wednesday morning, February 20, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, MD.

Born on April 10, 1925 at Honga, Dorchester County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Tolley and Thelma Parker Tolley.

She was a graduate of Hoopers Island High School.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church, Fishing Creek, MD.

For over forty years she worked for W.T. Ruark Seafood.

Surviving is her sister Frances “Polly” Aaron of Cambridge, MD; a niece Roberta Gering and her husband Ron of Louisville, KY; a nephew Robert Aaron and his wife Stephanie and their family Robbie Aaron III, Elizabeth Aaron all of Hoopersville, MD and Amber Aaron of Rhodesdale, MD; and several close cousins.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband Joel Dorsey Lewis and her daughter Patricia Lewis.

Funeral services will be held at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be the decedent’s cousin, Raymond H. Simmons, Jr., and Lay Speaker of Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ron Gering, Robert Aaron, Robbie Aaron III, Roger Solomon, Jim Hedberg and Brice Smith.
