Sandra Parks

Sandra L. “Sandy” Parks passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at UMSMC at Easton. She was 80.

Ms. Parks retired from employment with the State of Maryland having served seven years as a Teacher’s Aide and twenty years as a secretary at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center.

Sandy loved bowling, fishing, and having a good time with her friends. She attended First Baptist Church in Cambridge and was an active participant in many church activities. She played Canasta every Tuesday with a card club and taking Art classes learning One Stroke Art and Watercolors which she enjoyed very much.

Ms. Parks is survived by two sons R. David MacLauchlan and James “Mackey” MacLauchlan; three grandchildren Airman Robert David MacLauchlan, Jr., Hunter MacLauchlan and Amanda MacLauchlan; step-granddaughter Emily Harper and her husband Ryan of California; step-great-granddaughters Eva Harper and Colton Harper; very special friends Diane Serio, Joyce Martinek, Brenda Holotik, Donna Era, Janie Hendricks,  the Elihu Abbott family and her Godchild Tara Holotik.

Preceding her in death were her parents Ruby and James Gurry; her husband Asbury “Sonny” Parks and a very special friend John Webb, Sr.

Ms. Parks was cremated and at her request there will be no services.

Sandy was such a sweet lady and good friend. We spent lots of time fishing, bowling and together at family gatherings back in the day. She was always fun to be around and loved her family and husband Sonny. I hope they are back together up there in Gods country! Will miss seeing you lady!
