Stella Dodson

Stella “Joanne” Dodson, 85, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away in her sleep on Tuesday morning, November 27, 2018 at Mallard Bay Care Center, Cambridge.

Born in Cheswald, Delaware on February 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Catherine Stroh Vaughn.

Joanne attended schools in Easton, Maryland and later made her home in Cambridge.

Prior to her stay at Mallard Bay, she resided at “Special Home” and was cared for by Ms. Sarah Jackson and her staff.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Dodson Lauck (Mac Thomas) of Secretary who helped care for her and faithfully visited her daily; son Blake Dodson of Centreville; sisters Marie Johnson of Bozman and Sandy Lockerman of Ridgely; grandchildren Angie Lauck Abey, Matthew Lauck, Nikki Dodson, Melissa Prettyman, Katie Joudrey and Kasie Dodson; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her twin sons Dean and Dana Dodson; a daughter Robin Janelle Dodson; brothers Willard Vaughn and Dicky Vaughn; a sister Charlotte Milby.

A private viewing will be held for Joanne’s family with no services per her request.
