Andres Perez, Jr. “Andy”, age 17, of East New Market, MD, died late Friday night, July 27, 2007 from injuries sustained by a motorcycle accident on Rt. 589, Worcester County, MD.
Born on July 15, 1990 in Oceanside, California, he is the son of Andres Perez, Sr. of East New Market, MD and Kelly Lynn Simmons Riale of Bethlehem, MD.
Andy had ten year perfect school attendance and would be entering his senior year at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, Cambridge where he played on the football, wrestling and baseball teams. He was a band member and liked working out at the high school gym and Powerhouse Gym, Cambridge. A sports enthusiast, he was a Boston Red Sox fan and Baltimore Ravens fan. Andy also liked hunting and fishing. He liked motorcycling and had recently returned from a cross country trip with his father and brother.
Andy was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Secretary, MD, where he had served as an Altar Boy.
Surviving besides his parents is his younger brother Giovanni “G” Perez of East New Market, MD, maternal grandparents Marie and M. Wayne Simmons of Salem, MD, paternal grandmother Andrea Perez of Secretary, MD, step-father Daniel Riale of Bethlehem, MD, his father’s girlfriend Kimberly Gravenor of East New Market, MD, aunts and uncles Celio and Mary Perez of Puerto Rico, Sonia and Ruben Cruz of Hurlock, MD, Noemi Perez of Secretary, MD, Carmen and Junior Ramos of East New Market, MD, Haydee and Steve Cook of Secretary, MD, Denise Martin of Ocean City, MD and her fiancé Kyron, Wendy and Scott Adkins of Hurlock, MD, Kimberly and Carlton Bradshaw of Delmar, MD and several cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1st from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cambridge South Dorchester High School Auditorium where the funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Anthony Greco. A private Mass of Christian Burial and interment will follow at a later date.
