BETTY LEE HURLEY

Betty Lee Hurley, age 84, of Cambridge, MD died Sunday evening, July 24, 2011 after feeling ill at her brother’s house and was pronounced dead at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on April 8, 1927 in Wingate, Dorchester County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Willie Force Jones and Norma Mae Bramble Jones.

On December 22, 1956 she married Allen Glenwood Hurley. He died on April 15, 1989.

For several years, she operated day care from her home.

Surviving is her brother Donald O. Jones, Sr. of Vienna, MD; one daughter; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was a daughter and three brothers Wilson, Brady and Tom Jones.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 28th at Dorchester Memorial Park. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Pardee Bramble.
