Carl Eugene Blevins, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Cambridge, Maryland, on July 5, 2026, with his beloved family by his side. Born on September 14, 1946, in Virginia, Carl’s life was marked by devotion, generosity, and a tireless work ethic.
Carl was known for his genuine kindness and his concern for those less fortunate. From early on, he demonstrated a sincere desire to help others in whatever way he could. His kindness extended beyond words—when his children were young, he made contributions to their elementary school to provide assistance to families in need, ensuring the community’s youngest members had what they required.
He loved the simple pleasures of life: fishing on quiet days and immersing himself in old western movies. But beyond his interests, Carl was revered as a workaholic—always willing to answer a call for help, no matter the hour. His commitment to providing for his family and friends spoke volumes about his character and dedication.
Family was the fulcrum of Carl’s life. He cherished every moment spent with them, especially the time he devoted to supporting his children’s passions. Notably, he rarely missed any baseball game his son played, always there in the stands with pride and encouragement.
Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Judy Ellison Blevins; his loving daughter, Robbin Jones and her husband Buck; and his son, Shane Blevins. He was preceded in death by his father, William Blevins; his mother, Lillian Russell Blevins; and his beloved grandson, Trey Jones.
Carl Eugene Blevins leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
