Celio Perez

Celio Perez, 73, of Cambridge, MD passed away April 14, 2014 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He had been in declining health for the last several years and had been a resident at Mallard Bay Care Center, Cambridge.
Born January 6, 1941 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Enrique and Constancia Peluyera Perez.
In 1980, Celio relocated to Cambridge, MD from Puerto Rico. For most of his working life he had been self-employed as an automobile mechanic. He found great joy in being able to help his family, friends, and neighbors with all of their mechanical repairs. In his spare time, he enjoyed model boat building.
Celio is survived by his wife Andrea Fernandez Perez; children Celio Enrique Perez and his companion Maribel Martinez Rivera of Puerto Rico, Sonia Ivett Perez and her companion Roberto Cruz of Orlando, FL, Noemi Perez of Secretary, MD, Carmen M. Ramos and her husband Epifanio of East New Market, MD, Andres Perez and his wife Kelly of East New Market, MD and Haydee Cook and her husband Stephen of Secretary, MD. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Andres (Andy) Perez, Jr.
A time of visitation and remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 4 till 6 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High Street, Cambridge, MD.
