Clarence was the heart of Wingate United Methodist Church and a pillar of his community. He was a Sunday School Teacher, Lay Leader, Treasurer, Chairman of Administrative Board at Wingate Methodist and had represented St. Thomas Charge at Conference for forty years.
He loved to sing in church and was often invited to other churches in Maryland and Delaware to sing with his wife and daughter. They were known as the “Pritchett Family”.

Hayward (Mike Dawson); grandson Charles Armond “Chuckie” Hayward Jr. (Nicole Douglas); granddaughter Pamela Michelle Hayward Manley (Brandon); great grandchildren Aiden & Alexis Hayward; step-sisters Effie Mae Elzey (Levin), Linda Insley (Robert); step-brother Howard “Bubby” Creighton (Ovetta) and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends that are like family.
