Cloria L. Tyler, 72, of Hoopersville Maryland passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at UMSMC at Easton.
Born on Hoopers Island July 15, 1941 she was a daughter of the late Emma Andrew and Hobart Creighton. She attended the local schools in the area. On April 27, 1957 she married David W. Tyler. They were blessed with 6 children. Cloria was a female waterman. She loved all aspects of working on the water but mostly being able to work with her husband. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother to her children. Her family was everything to her. Mr. Tyler passed away February 13, 2008 leaving Cloria with a broken heart from which she never recovered. She would sit and stare at his picture for hours. Her devotion for her family is what kept her going.
Cloria would volunteer at the Salvation Army in Cambridge.
Cloria is survived by her children David H. Tyler, Sr. and wife Rose of Taylor's Island, Tommy F. Tyler and wife June of East New Market, Sherry R. Null of Fishing Creek, Shelly M. Tyler of Cambridge, John W. Tyler and wife Lanette of Florida and Sherry L. Tyler of Fishing Creek; brothers Butch Creighton and wife Nancy of Fishing Creek, Hobart C. Creighton and wife Cindy of West Virginia and Rankin S. Creighton and his companion Melissa of Linkwood; sister Dorothy Coffey of Vienna, and several grandchildren , great grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with two very special caregivers to her during her illness, nurse Dawn Feher and nursing assistant Giggles Stevens.
Preceding Cloria in death besides her parents and husband is a sister Brooksie J. Wright and a brother in law Lonnie R. Coffey.
The family will hold a private informal memorial service for family and friends Wednesday evening.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Cloria can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
Arrangements are entrusted to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High Street, Cambridge, MD.
