Danielle Marie Downs, age 26, of Cambridge, MD, died Friday night, April 29, 2011 from injuries sustained by being struck by a motor vehicle.

Born on December 7, 1984 in Cambridge, MD, she was the daughter of Robbin Downs Foy of Cambridge, MD and the late Robert Wheatley, Jr.

Danielle was a good person and was a loving and caring mother. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Danielle loved all animals and had volunteered at the Dorchester County Humane Society.

Danielle had previously worked at Sea Mist Florist.

Surviving besides her mother, Robbin Foy, are maternal grandparents Dieter and Shirley Kowarsch of Cambridge; two children K’Lyn Downs and Sean Downs of Cambridge; her fiancé Christopher Waldman of Cambridge; five siblings David Carrier II and his wife Stephanie of Hurlock, Kyle Downs, Cody Downs and Kasi Downs, all of Cambridge, Maria Bailey and a nephew Kole Bailey, both of Salisbury, MD; numerous aunts and uncles; cousins; and her best friend Kathy Reed of Cambridge.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. George Wheatley. Cremation will follow and the inurnment will be held privately.

Expressions of sympathy may be made by either sending flowers or making contributions to an account for Danielle’s children. Donations may be made to K’Lyn and Sean Downs Trust Account, c/o Talbot Bank.
