DELLA E. WARFIELD

Della Elizabeth Warfield, age 97, a lifelong resident of The Neck District, Cambridge, MD went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, November 17, 2011.

Born on December 10, 1913 in The Neck District, Cambridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Elmer Condon and Bessie Marshall Condon.

On December 24, 1933 she married G. Medford Warfield. He died on October 29, 1994.

Miss Della or Mom Mom, as she was affectionately known, had worked at Bumble Bee Tuna, various sewing factories and mostly for Caldwell Casting.

Miss Della enjoyed taking care of her home. She loved her family and friends. Miss Della always looked forward to cooking and spending time with them. She also liked to shop. Miss Della was also known for her kindness and sense of humor.

Surviving are two sons “Junior” George Medford Warfield, Jr. and his wife Mary of Ocean Pines, MD, “Beaver” Kenneth Richard Warfield of The Neck District, Cambridge, MD; former daughter-in-law and caregiver Lee Hudson and her husband Tommy of Bishopville, MD; six grandchildren Marie Davis and her husband Rob, Kathy Littleton, Cindy LeCates and her husband Tom, Vicki Harris and her husband David, Barbara Barnes and Sue Asplen; three great-grandchildren Eric Lewis, Jessica Lewis and Robert Davis, Jr.; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was a sister Edith Mason and brother James Melvin Condon.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Pam Bockart. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memorial Park.
