Dolan McMullen, Sr

Dolan R. McMullen, Sr., 85, of East New Market passed away on Sunday October 8th at his home. He was born in Lewistown, PA on May 4, 1932 and was the son of the late James and Alice McMullen. Dolan enlisted in the United States Air Force on February 5, 1952 serving in the Korean War and was honorably discharged on February 4, 1956.

Dolan was a lineman and serviceman for Delmarva Power & Electric Company for 28 years and retired in 1990 due to health issues.

Mr. McMullen is preceded in death by his wife Edna McMullen; a son Edward Lebel and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons Dolan McMullen Jr., David McMullen (Kim); daughters Carole Worm and Connie Lebel-Insley; 14 grandchildren Michael Fitzgerald, Brandon McMullen, Vincent McMullen, Nick McMullen, Josh McMullen, Matt McMullen, Megan McMullen, Mike Lebel, James Lebel, Theresa Santiago, Sherri Lebel and Sharon Lebel, Karen Hayes and James Long; also 11 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to send out a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Coastal Hospice for their wonderful care.

A viewing will be held at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High Street, Cambridge on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock beginning 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor David L. Kreek.

Pallbearers will be Dolan McMullen Jr., David McMullen, Michael Fitzgerald, Brandon McMullen, Josh McMullen and Matt McMullen.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 or Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
