Gary Lonnie Adams

Gary Lonnie Adams, age 56, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Nanticoke Tidal Health after a brief illness. Gary was born April 11, 1969 to the late Vera Louise Wooters and Gary Monroe Adams. He grew up in Hurlock and graduated from North Dorchester High School Class of 1987.

Gary was a hard worker and was always ready to help anyone in need. He was an important part of the operation of Three Ann’s Seafood, Fishing Creek, and helped his in-laws tremendously. After their closing he worked as a petroleum delivery driver and was employed by Tri Gas and Oil/Pep-Up, at the time of his hospitalization. In the midst of all his work he still found time to mow yards for people and be a delivery driver.

He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Adams Wright, her husband, Gordy and his granddaughter Kinsley, as well as Rhonda’s mother, JoAnn Adams. At the time of his death he was residing in Bridgeville, Delaware with his companion Kim Price and her daughter Jess. He is also survived by his sisters Rayna Adams Brown, Verna Hearn, Pandora Downie-Marceline, his sister-in- law Diane Jones Chavis and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Betty Ann and Ronnie Jones, a brother Claude “Jay” Arthur and sister Sherry Arthur.

In keeping with Gary’s acts of doing for others he gave the gift of organ donation.
