Gloria J. Lankford Frazier

Gloria J. Lankford Frazier of Madison, Maryland passed away peacefully on the morning of July 5, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

 

Born at Drawbridge, Maryland on October 19, 1942, she was the youngest child of the late Helen Marshall Lankford and F. Myles Lankford.  Mrs. Frazier was a graduate of North Dorchester High School, class of 1960 and the Eastern Shore State Hospital School of Nursing.  Later she attended Chesapeake and Wor-Wic College.  Mrs. Frazier was very proud of her 52 years of employment in nursing where she worked in different fields of nursing.  She met many clients and co-workers who became lifelong friends.

 

Mrs. Frazier enjoyed nursing, reading, attending Broadway shows and traveling.  Her greatest enjoyment was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of Madison United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church.

 

Mrs. Frazier is preceded in death by her husband Howard P. “Boy” Frazier; sisters Mildred Webster, Betty Dean, Ester Fletcher and Myrtle Lankford; brothers Earl, Donald and Gorman Lankford along with several nieces and nephews.

 

She is survived by her sister Phyllis Willey (Paul) of Atlanta Georgia; son Tommy Frazier (Kim) of Madison, Maryland; daughters Missy Kenny (Wade) of Madison, Maryland, Donna Travers (Rodney) of Woolford, Maryland and step-son Danny Frazier of Cambridge, Maryland; eleven grandchildren Jacob Kenny (Erin), Parris Abt (Stephen), Jade Kenny (Casey), Phillip Frazier, Myles Frazier (Natalie), Nellie Daigle (Justin), Gabrielle Hastings (Kyle), Millie Kenny, Thomas Frazier, James Frazier and William Frazier; six great grandchildren Aiden Abt, Emersyn Abt, Maverick Abt, Kash Hastings, Adley Daigle and Mya Frazier.

 

A private graveside service will be held at Old Trinity Church Cemetery, Church Creek, Maryland with David Tolley officiating.

 

The family would like to invite all who knew Gloria to a time of Food and Fellowship at the Madison Fire House, 1154 Taylors Island Road, Madison, MD on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon.
