Isabelle Kato

Isabelle “Peggy” Kato, age 90, of Cambridge, MD, passed away September 10, 2017. She is survived by 3 sons – John, Joe and Ken; 2 daughters – Marianne and Sandy, 26 beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her sister Joan.

She is the daughter of the late Mabel and Bill Cannon, born and raised on Hooper’s Island and she lived in the Cambridge Southside Landing community for the past 15 years.

Isabelle cherished her family, and will be missed by her dear neighbors, her friends in the Golden Hill Good Times Club, her bingo buddies, the Hosier Memorial and St John’s congregations, and the waterman community.

We will miss her beautiful crocheted gifts, her talent to make every meal a feast – including her extraordinary crab cakes, her neighborly spirit, her colorful flower garden, her love of a good joke, and her zest for life.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 beginning 2:00 at the Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A. at 308 High Street, Cambridge, MD; with visitation with family one hour prior. Officiating will be Pastor Daniel Gustafson.
