Katherine E. Davis, age 86, of Taylors Island, MD, died late Sunday night, October 14, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on May 17, 1921 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine Blanche Reed Grewe.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and was the wife of the late William Charles Davis.

Mrs. Davis enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are two sons Charles William Davis and his wife Catherine of Citra, FL, Roland Edward Davis of Taylors Island, MD, three grandsons John Davis of Taylors Island, MD, Edward Davis of Texas, Mark Davis of Maryland, a granddaughter Kim Davis of Florida, a step-grandson Carl Jamison of Baltimore, MD, two sisters Louise Mildred Ryan of Halethorpe, MD, Virginia Jean Holden and her husband Robert of Ellicott City, MD, a brother Webster Grewe (Capt.,USN,Ret) and his wife Dorothy of Lake Anna, VA, two sisters-in-law Helen Grewe and Virginia Grewe both of Sykesville, MD, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, was a sister Dorothy Elizabeth Grewe Muhler and two brothers Richard William Grewe, Charles Louis Grewe, a daughter-in-law Donna Louise Davis, a step-granddaughter Shawn Moffet, and two brothers-in-law William Kimber Ryan and Edward Muhler.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 17th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officating at the service will be The Rev. Robert Kirkley. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Church Graveyard, Taylors Island, MD.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in by either sending flowers or making memorial offerings to the Taylors Island Vol. Fire Dept., PO Box 277, Taylors Island, MD 21669-0277.
