VIVIEN GWYNN

Marie Vivien Gwynn, age 71, of Cambridge, MD, died Sunday night, October 16, 2011 at Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge, MD.

Born on August 21, 1940 in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Owen Francis Boyle and Helen “Nell” McLeod Boyle.

In 1967 she moved to Cambridge, Maryland.

Vivien was a communicant of St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, Cambridge.

Vivien was an avid fan of tennis and liked to read. She was an active participant of Alcoholics Anonymous and will be missed by many. Vivien loved her family very much.

Surviving are two children Kelly Lee Martinez and her husband Luis “Lou” of Riverview, FL and Sean Gwynn of St. Petersburg, FL; five siblings Bernard Boyle of Glasgow, Scotland, Fran Strohmer of Cambridge, MD, Tommy Boyle and his wife Sharon of Glasgow, Scotland, Gerald “Gerry” Boyle of Cambridge, MD and Mary Downey and her husband Michael Tilghman Donwey of Cambridge, MD; two step-grandchildren Jennifer Martinez and Adam Martinez; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a brother-in-law Bill Strohmer.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, October 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Thursday, October 20th at St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, 1515 Glasgow St., Cambridge. Celebrant of the Mass will be The Rev. Bruce Byrolly. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Cemetery, Church Creek, MD.

Pallbearers will be Sean Gwynn, Gerry Boyle, Owen Strohmer, Steve Strohmer, Lou Martinez and Michael Downey.

Memorial offerings may be made in Vivien’s memory to the charity of ones choice.
