Nettie Mills

Nettie Lucille Mills, 90, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away peacefully, Friday evening, April 1, 2016 at Mallard Bay Care Center, Cambridge.

Born on July 30, 1925 she was one of four children. She and her siblings were born and raised in Maryland.

Lucille attended the local schools and later married Donald Mills and together raised three daughters. Mr. Mills died on December 1, 1999.

She was a homemaker and took pride in taking care of her family. Lucille enjoyed making quilts, putting puzzles together and in previous years crabbing with her husband.

Surviving her are daughters Delores Mills Faulkner of Cambridge, Karen Sweitzer and husband Robert of Tilghman Island and Janice Stonestreet of Hampstead, MD; grandchildren Michele Faulkner, April Hall and husband Shaun, Lisa Foster and husband Eric, Robert Sweitzer Jr., Stephanie Dale and husband Mike, Ben Battaglia and wife Holly; great grandchildren Hunter & Emma Hall, Brooklyn, Georgia and Karolina Foster, Sydney and Kevin King and Brandon and Riley Battaglia.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were sisters Lois Daily and Jerry Benton and a brother Hillden Colbourn.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 beginning 11 a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge with Rev. Christina Blake officiating. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Lucille, can be sent to the Alzheimers Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
