Patrick C. “Patty” Dawson, age 54, of Cambridge, MD, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at his home.

Born on July 24, 1954 in Cambridge, MD he was the son of Harold (Bill) Dawson of Cambridge, MD and the late Ida Pauline Nave Dawson.

Patty, as he was known, was raised in Bishops Head, MD and was a graduate of South Dorchester High School, Class of 1972. He had been a member of the Lakes & Straits Volunteer Fire Department.

Patty was quite an artist noting ability in pencil drawing and charcoal. He was an avid reader, liked electronics, computers, fishing and trapping. Patty enjoyed taking trips to Ocean City, MD. He had worked as a waterman and WalMart in Cambridge. Patty was kind hearted and a friend to all who knew him.

Surviving besides his father are two daughters Brandy Lynn Dawson and her boyfriend Irving Cumberland, Ariel Dawson and her boyfriend Cody Foxwell, all of Toddville, MD; a brother Harold (Billy) Dawson and his wife Kathleen of Cambridge, MD; a sister Sheila Nimmerrichter and her husband Larry of Waldorf, MD; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 3rd at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. George Wheatley, Pastor of Jubilee Christian Fellowship. Inurnment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that expressions of sympathy be made to Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, 308 High St., Cambridge, MD 21613 to assist in Patty’s final expenses.
