On Sunday, October 29, 2017 Peggy A. Sizemore, 87, of Cambridge went home to be with the Lord.
Born May 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Agnes Jackson.
Peggy had multiple job careers but all involved helping the senior citizens. She had been a cook at Glasgow Nursing Home, nurse assistant at Mallard Bay (formerly Cambridge House) and the House of the Pines. She continued working with private patients in their homes until her health failed.
She enjoyed her family, ceramics and loved cooking. Many people fondly remember her for her homemade yeast bread.
Surviving is her husband of 50 years William Sizemore; daughters Peggy Farina, Emily Newcomb and husband Gary, Tina Willis and husband Kerry; son Timothy Webster and wife Rebecca; grandchildren Brian Donoway and wife Sunshine, Timothy Webster, Jr., Peter Paul Farina II, Stephanie McWilliams and husband Guy, ; great-grandchildren Victoria Donoway, Gracie McWilliams, Barley Webster, Brian A. Donoway (Lil' B) and Jordan Forsht; and her trusted dog Jas .
Preceding her in death besides her parents are sisters Aileen Greenhawk, Shirley Smith, Dottie O’Hara and Margaret O’Ferral; brothers Burton Jackson, Joe Jackson, Ben Jackson, Wallace Jackson and James Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 beginning 1 pm. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. A viewing and visitation with family will be held the hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Lavone Chester-Gray. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Donoway, Karl Hughes, Peter Farina, Stephanie McWilliams, Timothy Webster Jr., Victoria Donoway and Chase Sawyer.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A. to assist with funeral expenses.
