Penny Bradley

Penny M. Bradley, 53, of Cambridge, MD passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 17, 2019 with her husband and daughters by her side at Coastal Hospice at the Lake.

Born December 27, 1965 in Cambridge, she was a daughter of Joan Ewell (Roy Lively, Jr) and Sarge J.I. Johnson and his wife Debbie. She attended the local schools in the area. Penny married Lawrence E. “Larry” Bradley on December 2, 2005 and together they enjoyed 13 years of marriage.

For years Penny worked as a waitress and cook at a number of restaurants in the area. She also worked alongside her husband on masonry projects.

Penny loved the outdoors. She, along with her husband, enjoyed the sun, the beach and having fun with family and friends. Taken at a young age, her zest for life and warm smile will be missed by many.

Penny is survived by her loving husband Larry; her mother Joan Ewell(Roy Lively, Jr.) and father Sarge J. I. Johnson (Debbie); children Stephen “Robin” Middleton (Teri Scott), Jacqueline Middleton (JaBron Moore), Stephanie Middleton (Tyre Gordy); stepdaughters Ashley Hamilton (Thomas) and Brooke Bradley; brothers J. I “Sarge” Johnson III (Laura), Mark Johnson and Michael Johnson; grandchildren Zaneia Blake, Artis Scott, Mikala Alston, Shakih Hitchens, Amari Hitchens, Gianna Hitchens, Damoni Hitchens, Tabrina Wongus, Tynasia Wongus, Tyrell Wongus, Tyre Gordy, Jr., Chyenne Hamilton and Ethan Hamilton; special nieces Amanda Johnson and Ashley Greenhawk; longtime special friend Jesse McKenrick along with many friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 beginning 1:00 pm at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sarge Johnson III, Michael Johnson, Tommy Middleton, III, Michael Laird, JaBron Moore and Tyre Gordy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Ewell and B. J. Middleton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Penny can be made to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
