Ronald Michael (Mike) McGlaughlin, age 62, of Fishing Creek, MD, died Sunday, November 9, 2008.
Born on April 1, 1946 in Corpus Christi, TX he was the son of Ronald R. McGlaughlin and Alva S. McGlaughlin Rickard.
Mike was a graduate of South Dorchester High School, Class of 1964.
He worked as a waterman for many years and also worked for Western Publishing for fourteen years. He was currently employed by GKD of Cambridge for the past three and a half years.
He was a member of the local Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving besides his wife of 38 years, Jacquelyn Aaron McGlaughlin whom he married on October 3, 1970 are his father Ronald R. McGlaughlin and his companion Darlene Robbins of Crapo, MD. His mother Alva Rickard and her husband Ken of Cambridge, MD. Two sons, Scott McGlaughlin and his wife Heather of Cambridge, Shane McGlaughlin of Fishing Creek, MD. A daughter, Jodi Hughes and her husband Chuck of Cambridge. Six grandchildren, Lauren McGlaughlin, Kelsey McGlaughlin, Aaron Scott McGlaughlin, Tori Albites, Charlie Hughes, and Alex Hughes. A brother Randy McGlaughlin and his wife Jamie of Cambridge. Best friends, Gary Ruark of Fishing Creek, and Raymond Simmons of Cambridge.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be Raymond H. Simmons. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, Mike requested that donations be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 205 Cedar St., Attn: Eddie Wheatley Cambridge, MD 21613.
