Rose Mary Hamilton, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, in Cambridge Maryland, surrounded by the love of her daughter. Born on October 27, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Marietta F. Anello and Gaetano T. Enea, Rose graced the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.
Throughout her life, Rose dedicated herself to both her family and her community. She was employed with the Chesapeake College Satellite Center, where she contributed her talents and passion for learning. In addition to her professional endeavors, she committed her time to volunteer at the gift shop and canteen along with her sewing projects at the Eastern Shore State Hospital in Cambridge, showcasing her compassion for those in need. A devoted member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary, Maryland, she found joy in her faith and fostered connections with loved ones and fellow parishioners.
Rose had a profound appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. She adored her animals and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her legacy is woven into the beautiful memories she created, whether through her gentle hugs, the stories shared during family gatherings, or the prayer shawls she lovingly crocheted for her church.
In life, Rose was not only a source of strength but also an embodiment of grace and love. She leaves behind her treasured family: her daughter, Patricia A. Jones; her son, Thomas William Nash, Sr., and his wife Elizabeth; her daughter-in-law, Teresa M. Nash; along with 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren who will continue to keep her spirit alive in their hearts.
Although Rose is now reunited in peace with her parents, her late husband, Morgan J. Hamilton, her sons, Robert “Bobby” Earle Nash, Jr., Donald Joseph Nash, her sister Theresa Rinehart and her son-in-law Alfred “AL” Jones, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her infectious smile, kind spirit, and unwavering support will forever remain etched in the memories of those who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rose's life during a viewing at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, located at 308 High Street, Cambridge, Maryland, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
