Sharon Lee Myers

Sharon Lee Myers, age 63, of Cambridge, MD, died Sunday morning, November 6, 2011 at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on May 1, 1948 in Dominion, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert Griffin Thomas and Elsie Cecila Thomas.

Sharon was educated in Stevensville, MD. She moved from Kent Island to Cambridge area in 1966.

On May 1, 1976 she married Leroy Myers.

Sharon was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home along with her beloved poodle “Lil Girl”. Her hobbies were playing bingo and going to the slots. Sharon was an avid follower of the gospel group “The Lights of Home”.

Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Leroy Myers of Cambridge, MD; a son William Thomas of Cambridge, MD; five siblings Patsy Adams of Cambridge, MD, Peggy Sauers and her husband Mel of Chester, MD, Linda Swann of Chestertown, MD, Albert Thomas, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Cobbs Island, MD, and Franklin Thomas and his wife Beverly of Stevensville, MD; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents were four siblings Joyce Faulkner, June Allen, Ronnie Thomas and Arthur Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12th at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held privately at the request of the family.
