Sherry Lynn Robbins, 49, of Vienna, Maryland passed away Sunday evening, July 10, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton after a sudden illness.

Born November 10, 1966 in Easton, Maryland she was a daughter of Kenneth Wayne Smith and E. Jeannie Jarrell.

Sherry attended the local schools and graduated from North Caroline High School with the class of 1984. She attended Chesapeake College and later obtained her cosmetology license. She had also worked in physical therapy and up to the time of her death she was employed at the Public Defender’s Office as an Intake/Eligibility Specialist.

She was a member of the Linkwood Salem Volunteer Fire Company and enjoyed every minute of being involved. She considered the members her second family.

Her hobbies included reading, traveling, going to the beach and watching her daughter Kara’s softball games, but most of all, spending time with her family whom she truly loved.

Sherry had a heart of gold and would always lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. She was a good listener and always gave advice the best she could. She will truly be missed by her many friends and family.

Surviving her besides her parents, is her husband of 22 years Hollie Robbins, Jr.; three daughters Amanda Marie Robbins (Zed Grafton), Jenna Leeann Robbins (Adam Weber) and Kara Lynn Robbins all of Vienna; sisters Tammy Smith Willis (Jeff Layton), Kimberly Smith Bilbrough (Mark), Barbara J. Johnson (Mike Hooper), Francie Sherwood Earl (Rob) and Johnnie-Rae Sherwood Cherry (Glen); brothers John Martin Sherwood, Jr. and Gregory A. Smith (Whitney); paternal grandmother Agnes Smith; step mother Nancy Smith; stepfather John Sherwood, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Alex Willis, Kayla Boyd, David Johnson, Jr., (DW), Kyler Boyd, Kamryn Boyd, Addison Delainey Johnson and Jakob Bilbrough; father-in- law Hollie Robbins, Sr.; special aunt Barbara Andrew and special friend David Cyr. Also several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding her in death was her grandfather George Smith; great grandparents Edward and Amanda Cahall; mother-in-law Betty Lee Robbins; grandparents-in-law Paul and Marie Lee.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, July 14, 2016 at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High St., Cambridge, MD from 6-9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the funeral home beginning 1:00 p.m. with a viewing an hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. Interment will follow in the East New Market Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Warrell, Adam Weber, Zed Grafton, Hunter Mauk, Danny Adshead, Alex Willis, Jerry Willey and Donnie Phippin.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Linkwood Salem Volunteer Fire Company.
