Teresa Marie Tapper, affectionately known as Tess, passed away on April 24, 2025 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on June 10, 1971 in Maryland. Tess lived a life filled with joy and passion, touching the lives of many around her.
Tess was a proud graduate of the Class of 1989 from Cambridge South Dorchester High School. After graduation she was employed in accounting at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge, Maryland. Her dedication and hard work were evident in all she did, earning respect and admiration from her colleagues and friends alike.
Tess had a zest for life that encompassed a variety of hobbies and interests. She cherished her travels, especially her beloved trips to Myrtle Beach. Shopping was another passion of hers, along with the thrill of trying her luck at the slots. Tess was delighted in dining out, with lobster being her favorite indulgence. Beyond her culinary tastes, she enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her loved ones, creating lasting memories around the dining table.
In addition to her many interests, Tess had a soft spot for animals, particularly her beloved shih-poo, Dolly. The companionship and joy they brought each other was one of the many highlights of her life.
Tess is survived by her devoted mother, Debbie Tapper, and her stepfather, Bicky Roche, who are left with cherished memories of a daughter full of laughter, love, and life. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the vibrant spirit she brought into our lives. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Frances Davidson, her grandfather Bill Davidson, and a special aunt Denise Jenkins.
Visitation will be held on May 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home located at 308 High Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613. Burial will follow the service at East New Market Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Tess’ life and the beautiful impact she made on us all. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. Officiating the service will be Pastor Steve Bloodsworth.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Davidson, Keith Davidson, Kevin Davidson, Spencer Davidson, Robin Hall and Bryan Hall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tess’ name can be sent to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to Open Bible Church, 1619 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
