Theda Stubbs

Theda Warren Stubbs, 91, of Cambridge passed away peacefully Monday, November 6, 2017 at the home of her son.

Born July 14, 1926 in Cambridge, MD, she is the daughter of the late Warren Mace Brerewood and Grace Katherine (Katie) Murphy Brerewood.

Mrs. Stubbs was a graduate of Cambridge High School, Class of 1943.

On January 27, 1946 she married James Lynn Stubbs. He died on August 4, 2004.

For over thirty one years she worked for the Dorchester County Board of Education in several capacities.

Mrs. Stubbs was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Cambridge, MD.

Surviving are her children Warren Lynn Stubbs of Cambridge, MD, Amy S. Keene-Applegarth and her husband Christopher of Madison, MD, Matthew Lee Stubbs and his wife Donna C. of Cambridge, MD; five grandchildren Katie and Steven Stubbs, Danny Leonard(Carly), Greg Leonard(Abby) and Christopher Applegarth, Jr.(Jillian); great grandchildren Naomi Brooke and Griffin Tyler Applegarth, Dash Allen and Kip Horseman Leonard; special friends Mary and Bill Leonard, Leah Gore, Suzanne Applegarth and Sharon Born.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was a special Aunt Effa Aretha Horseman.

A visitation with family will be held Monday evening, November 13, 2017 from 6 till 8 pm at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 beginning 1 pm at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends the hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Chaplain Joel Beiler.

Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
