Vincent Allen, 89, of Cambridge passed away at his home on December 3, 2012.
Vincent was born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, England on October 7, 1923. When he was seven months old he and his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Fall River, Massachusetts.
On September 1, 1944, Vincent married Mary H. Lannigan. After service in the Navy, Vincent and his wife Mary settled in Riverdale, Maryland and later retired to Cambridge. They were married for 63 years.
Vincent worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 25 years. He enjoyed performing with the Seasoned Players, dancing, and entertaining his friends. He was a member of Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW and American Legion Post 91.
Surviving are his children; William Joseph Allen of Fort Worth, Texas; Helen Louise Nogar of Seabrook, Maryland; Lois Jean Bygate of Jarratt, Virginia; Maribeth Upchurch of Denton, Maryland; and Scott Anthony Allen of Cambridge, Maryland.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Vincent will be remembered in a private memorial service to be held at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery.
