William Lake, Jr.

William S. Lake, Jr., 85, of Cambridge passed away Thursday evening, April 30, 2020 at UMSMC at Easton.

Born April 9, 1935 in Cambridge, he was a son of the late Novella Jones Lake and William Starrett Lake, Sr.. Bill graduated from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1953. He began a career with the United States Marine Corps and retired at the rank of Master Sergeant.

Surviving is his wife Carol Richardson Lake; sons Richard W. Lake and wife Wendy of Finksburg, MD, Michael M. Lake and wife Robin of Columbia, MD; grandchildren Hannah B. Lake, Richard C. Lake, Brittney L. Spak, Amelia M. Lake and Michael F. Lake; great-granddaughter AliceMae Lake and a close friend Elizabeth Abbott of Church Creek.

Besides his parents Bill is predeceased by a grandchild Caleb M. Lake.

Services will be private with interment at East New Market Cemetery.
