Obituary

Edward Wesley Dickerson III, 63, of Earleville, Maryland passed away on April 22, 2021 at his home. He was born in Monmouth, New Jersey on October 22, 1957 to the late Edward Wesley Dickerson Jr. and Lorraine Conklin Dickerson.

He married Kathryn Henderson on January 4, 1991. They owned and operated Coast Answering Inc. as well as Tidewater Services Inc.  among other businesses for over 40 years.  Edward and Kathryn provided pupil transportation for many school districts.

Edward had a great appreciation and love for the bay and ocean. One of his favorite things to do was to sail his yacht up and down the Chesapeake Bay. He often stopped by Hooper's Island to see his cousin Barbara Cartright and her family. He loved the peace and quiet of Hooper's Island. Edward had a great love for the four legged friends. All of Edward's dogs were rescue dogs. He leaves behind 3 dogs Armani, Abraham, and Whalin. They will greatly miss him.

Edward is survived by his sister Sharon Evan (Joe), nieces Winter Dempsey, Samantha Evans and nephew Joseph Evans; dear cousins Barbara and Randy Cartright and their children Kyle Cartright (Dana), Ryan Cartright, Michele Lynch Burton (Dean), and Keegan Adkins (Kaylee), Charlie Lynch (Shelley) and Lexie and Austin, Nathan Lynch (Megan), McKayal Lynch (Christopher), Ashley Lynch; brother-in-law Vernon Henderson (Shari); goddaughter Barbara Busby; aunt Muriel Cimorelli and life- long friend Louis Wilcox.

Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn (July 18.2020) and daughter Gina. His parents Edward and Lorraine Dickerson, uncle Joseph Cimorelli, uncle Billie and aunt Lois Lynch, cousins Robert Lynch, Billie Lynch, Donald Lynch, and Nicholas Cartright.

A memorial service will be private.
