Gary G. Newcomb, 61, of East New Market, Maryland passed away on Sunday evening, May 17, 2020 at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born in Cambridge, Maryland on April 28, 1959, he was a son of the late Mary Elizabeth Mills and James Carlton Newcomb.

On December 9, 1990 he married the former Emily Webster.

Gary worked many years as a painter for Gary Bramble, he worked the waters of the Chesapeake Bay with longtime friend Logan Fitzhugh, and then for Acme grocery store.

He enjoyed going fishing and playing bingo.  Gary was a known jokester and found enjoyment playing jokes on his family and friends.  His best friend was his fur baby named Jasmine (Jas).

Surviving him besides his wife Emily is a son Brian Donoway and his wife Sunshine of Orlando, FL; granddaughter Victoria Donoway of Texas; grandson Brian “Little B” Donoway  of Orlando, FL; brothers James “Jimmy” Newcomb and his wife Joyce of Cambridge and Ronnie Newcomb and his wife Gail of Hurlock; sister-in-law Peg Farina; brother-in-law Tim Webster and his wife Rebecca(Rae); sister in-law Tina Willis and her husband Kerry; nephews Peter Farina and “Lil Tim” Webster, Jay Newcomb, JR Lednum, Michael Thomas and Chase Sawyer; also, his fur baby and best friend Jasmine.

Preceding him in death besides his parents are his sisters Cathy Newcomb, Brenda Reed and Bonnie Sue Rockwell.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 beginning 1:00 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge.  Officiating will be Rev. Steve Bloodsworth.

A viewing and visitation with the family will be held an hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service at East New Market Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Hughes, Jay Newcomb, Ronnie Newcomb, Peter Farina, II, Timothy (Lil Tim) Webster and Stephanie McWilliams.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High St., Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray the funeral cost.
