Phyllis Hastings

Phyllis Ann Hastings, 72, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away Saturday morning, April 20, 2019 at her home.

Born on January 31, 1947 in Cambridge, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Addison Miller and Eunice Brooks Miller.

Phyllis and her family relocated to Calvert County, Maryland where she attended the local schools.  She graduated from Oxon Hill High School.

In 1997 Phyllis moved back to the Eastern Shore.  She worked as a Paralegal for the Federal Government and retired after 30 years.

Phyllis married Harold Ray Hastings on December 14, 2018 and they made their home in Cambridge.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading mysteries.  Phyllis loved and cared for many dogs.  She had a favorite boxer named Sandy.  She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving her are children Robert Lynn Henkel, Jr of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Donna Marie Wellman (Jay) of Kansas City; grandchildren Jayson Wellman and Jenna Williams; great grandchild Jaymeson Wellman, sisters Mary A.Windsor (Blaine) of Secretary, MD and Ruby Jane Donovan of Lewes, DE; several nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
